The role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Copywriter/Content writer to join our Marketing department in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and producing compelling copy both for online (website and social media) and offline media (newspapers and magazines) and for working closely with the company’s marketing team in order to create regular social media and other content that engages the audience and drives traffic.

The responsibilities:

  • Creating content including service overviews, case studies, and more to highlight the brand, the company’s service features, advantages and benefits as well as company’s differentiators.
  • Serving as the content and editorial board lead.
  • Creating original content and drive compelling storytelling in order to improve engagement with prospective clients and partners.
  • Working and managing external resources and vendors to develop, write, edit and distribute content.
  • Writing weekly articles for newspapers and press releases.
  • Proof reading all material both offline and online, brochures and publications.
  • Writing compelling and effective short-form and long-form copy for use across all social media channels.

The individual:

  • University degree in Journalism, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
  • Must have experience in writing for the web and a basic understanding of how to integrate SEO best practices.
  • Must have a portfolio that reflects superior writing skills.
  • Must have a proficiency in relevant software.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to understand a target audience.
  • Ability to apply constructive criticism to job execution and performance issues.
  • Ability to keep up to date with popular culture and trends.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivation, confidence, enthusiasm, flexibility, stamina and the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment.
  • Professionalism, integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and the English language.
  • Computer literate.
